Frenchtown Farms is a spirited winery nestled in the rugged beauty of the North Yuba AVA in the Sierra Foothills of California. Since 2015, husband-and-wife team Aaron and Cara Mockrish have turned their deep connection to the land into a thriving vineyard and cellar dedicated to crafting wines that truly reflect their unique terroir. From the steep, rocky slopes they farm to the hands-on care in every vine, Frenchtown’s story is one of passion, place, and purpose. 

At Frenchtown Farms, farming comes first. The team tends both old and new vines, with gentle, thoughtful practices that favor nature over machinery. Their winemaking is equally intentional, keeping cellar work minimal so the character of the land speaks boldly in every bottle. The intimate approach results in expressive wines that capture the spirit of North Yuba’s mineral-rich soils and dynamic climate.
